52North Wins Prestigious NOME Startup Competition Securing Entry into Elite Nordic Mentoring Program

52North was announced as the winner of the esteemed Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME) Startup Competition supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation at the 2024 Annual Meeting last week.

This victory came with a cheque for DKK 50,000 (~USD 7,000) and secures 52North’s admission into the renowned NOME Mentoring Program, positioning the company for further growth and success, with a particular view to engaging with the Nordic markets and key pharmaceutical and clinical partners within these.

The NOME Mentoring Program is celebrated for its ability to connect promising life science startups with an extensive network of top-tier professionals. These mentors bring expertise in areas critical to commercialisation, including regulatory compliance, pricing strategies, market access, and business modelling. This year’s competition featured a strong lineup of startups, showcasing cutting-edge innovations across life sciences, biotech and medtech.

Umaima Ahmad, CEO and co-founder of 52North, pitched at the event attended by around 200 professionals, sharing the vision for Neutrocheck® in addressing a pressing challenge in the early detection of patients with cancer requiring urgent care.
